Overview
Any circuit can be used to supply another board or consumer unit, below are the steps needed to ensure all circuit data and test-results are mirrored where necessary. In this example, we will add a new board to the installation, and supply it from a single phase circuit.
Add a board
First of all you will need to add another DB - click the Add Board button as shown in the image below, then click the DB selector to return to the DB supplying the new board.
Choose the supply circuit
Decide which circuit is to be the supply circuit, and click the hand next to the circuit number -the row will turn pink. Click the Create Sub-Main button.
Choose the board to be supplied
This screen will show all the boards in the installation - if the checkbox is disabled, it means it is already supplied from a different circuit so you can't select it. Click the tick box next to the board you want to supply.
Add the circuit details and test results for the supply circuit
Enter the circuit values as shown in the image below - Overcurrent device, rating etc. These values will be displayed alongside the circuit, as well as on the board you are supplying.
The supplied board
Now take a look at the board we supplied - DB-1. The supply details have been updated and also the overcorrect device details and test-results we entered previously have been carried through automatically.
