To add a new certificate, click the  New +  button on the Home screen, and you will be presented with a form where you can decide the following:

  • The Certificate number (a number is auto-generated by default - it can be changed at this stage, or later when the certificate has been created)
  • Job number (some companies assign job numbers to work and this can be entered here but is optional)
  • Work notifiable (this is purely a reminder that this certificate relates to work which is notifiable under PART P of Building Regulations. IMPORTANT this is not a service to notify LABC, this must still be done either through a CPS portal or direct to LABC)
  • Certificate / Report type (choose the type of certificate or report that you want to create)
  • Company carrying out the work (Can be added later if not known at this stage)
  • Client (Can be added later if not known at this stage)
  • Installation where the certificate or report will be carried out (Can be added later if not known at this stage)
  • Inspection Engineer: carrying out the work (Can be added later if not known at this stage)
  • Assign to engineer: The engineer you are assigning this certificate to (this can be left blank, or can be assigned later) ...more
  • Created by: (this will default to the main user unless Managers are added to the system, then the option to choose which Manager can be selected ftom the dropdown box)

Certificate number

The Certificate number is auto generated - it is based on the date and time that this certificate is being created so you will always have a unique certificate reference if you let the program choose the number for you.

However the certificate number is entirely editable, and you can change it at this stage, or when the certificate is open.

To find out how to change the certificate number once the certificate is open - click here.
